Interest in painting started with a painting class in college. Over the years, while living in Pennsylvania, I took classes through the Harrisburg Art Association and the Mechanicsburg Art Center particularly Expressionism with Li Hidley and Plein Air landscape painting with Earl Blust, one of the original Seven Lively Artists.
My first paining of the Maine coast was done in 1992. During the last several years, more and more time was spent in Mid-Coast Maine, ultimately resulting in becoming a full-time resident of Maine in the Spring of 2010. Since moving to Maine, I have become active in the Boothbay Region Art Foundation (BRAF) in Boothbay Harbor, the River Arts in Damariscotta and the Plein Air Painters of Maine (PAPME).
